Reporting directly to the Corporate Human Resources Director, the Corporate Recruiting Manager is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of local and national recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Corporate Recruiting Manager will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent.
Education and Experience:
Five plus years of previous experience in recruiting a range of positions: from senior level construction management jobs to skilled crafts people and specialized field/technical employees in the heavy civil engineering & construction industry.
Bachelor’s degree in business in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field
Solid knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regarding employment practices.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and human resources recruiting software applications such as iCIMS.
Demonstrated skill in the successful development and implementation of creative recruiting strategies.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; excellent organizational and time management skills.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends, as needed and willingness to travel, as required.

Serve as lead program development manager for all corporate recruiting initiatives.
Develop National, Local, and Regional recruiting strategies for all recruiting and staffing needs.
Work directly with hiring managers to create forecasting and recruitment planning.
Create job descriptions.
Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.
Efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
Post openings in newspaper advertisements, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues.
Network within the industry to help product a pipeline of competitive construction and business talent.
Lead the development and execution of university relations and recruiting strategies.
Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.
Develop working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting.
Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
Conduct prescreening interviews.
Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
Assist in performing reference and background checks for potential employees.
Assist in writing and forwarding rejection letters.
Assist in interviewing and selecting employee’s onsite.
Assist in preparing and sending offer packages.
Assist in preparing and sending new employee orientation packages.
Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws and corporate policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
