Summary:

The Graphic Designer will report to the Visual Media & Communications Supervisor. The Communications Department is responsible for many different initiatives and programs within the company. The department manages proposals, events, social media & website content, the wellness program, all company communications (internal and external), company apparel, project photography & videography, etc. The department is also responsible for keeping the Phillips & Jordan brand consistent throughout all media.

Education and Experience:

  • Two year degree in graphic design or related field

  • Professional experience a plus, but not necessary

  • Experience in photography and videography a plus

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Magazine advertisement design

  • Page layout

  • Logo design

  • Presentation design & formatting

  • Social media graphics design

  • Create images that convey a message

  • Develop graphics and visual images for product illustrations, logos, and social media

  • Amend final designs according to feedback and gain full approval

Requirements:

  • Minimum ability using film editing software

  • Ability to work in team environment

  • Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality

  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio

  • Up to date & proficient with industry leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop etc)

  • Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines

Safety Considerations:

Employee typically works in an office environment and is not exposed to extreme environments. Employee may be required to lift objects up to 10 pounds on a non-routine basis. Employee must practice good ergonomic principles to prevent illnesses such as carpal tunnel and back injury from minor task performance.
