Job Summary

The primary function of position is to oversee vial packer activities concerning quality and productivity.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to: 

  • Oversee packer activities concerning quality and productivity.
  • Perform regular quality inspections of the product, packing materials and methods.
  • Distribute the necessary materials to the packers.
  • Provide all necessary support to the packers, shrink operators and pallet stackers.
  • Communicate with packers, operators, mechanics and supervisors.
  • Primary supervisory function is to inform shift supervisor of problem areas.
  • Understand Kimble Chase’s Quality Policy and relevant Quality Objectives.
  • Recognize his/her contribution to the effectiveness of the GMS including the benefits of improved performance.
  • Comprehend the impact or effect of not conforming with the QMS.
  • May perform any or all of these tasks depending upon work assignment.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and habitable condition. Observe all safety precautions, rules and regulations.
  • Additional duties as required by Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager.
  • Observe all safety precautions, rules and regulations. Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.


High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have the ability to comprehend written English words. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Must have ability to work as a team player and ability to determine if product is defective.

Must be able to stand, bend, flex, push, and pull for prolonged periods.  Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.  Good math skills.  Good written and verbal communication skills.  Ability read and follow written work instructions. 

Six or more months experience as a Vial Packer preferred but not required.
